I am thinking of having a fullmetal alchemist themed birthday party. But i am not sure what type of food or what type of party games i/we should have. I was thinking of making Japanese food but its fullmetal and the plot for fullmetal is not in japan but the manga is from japan(i guess its kinda complicated ^^')..........so please help me!

Answer
Make punny food!!
A bowl of red jelly beans with a label on the bowl: Philosopher Stones.
Make cookies with transmutation circle drawings.
Here's a link to some ideas~!

Also!! I have an idea for games. Play White Elephant, but call it Equivalent Exchange instead!! That would be so great! If you don't know what White Elephant is, here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_elephant_gift_exchange
Another game: Make a little quiz with punny questions like "If Roy were to have a car what kind would it be?" (answer: Mustang) And "How much did Al's armor cost?" (answer: an arm and a leg). And have a cool FA-related gift for the winner. :)

What do they not have in New Zealand that they do have in America?

I want to send my friend in New Zealand a package for her birthday of things that they don't have or are hard to get in New Zealand. I live in America so they need to be something that is here In America but not in New Zealand. Anything, food, nail polish brands, anything.

Answer
There's this one nail polish brand that I absolutely adore, which is not sold in New Zealand. It's called Julep, and what makes them so cool is that they try and avoid using as many toxic materials as possible (which means less brain damage -- yay!!).

What also makes them pretty cool is that they are always coming up with tons of deals for you to save money on their polishes, which makes them my go-to brand for gifts. I'm already starting to plan what I want to get my housemates for Christmas from there. :)

One of the reasons why I think this would be a great option for you is because they do this thing called Juelp Maven which is, essentially, a nail polish subscription service. But the perfect part about it isn't that it's a subscription, but that your first box is completely free -- which means you can get 2-3 nail polishes for free to add on to your gift AND if you want, when you sign up, they offer some other products for really discounted prices and if you spend over $10 on those, you get free shipping. After you receive your first box, you can cancel your subscription, but even if you keep it, they send an email out every month asking you whether or not you want to get that month's box. So you can just keep saying no, or completely take yourself out of the system. Which is pretty amazing, considering the polishes normally go for $14 each.

Sorry, that was a lot of writing, I'm just really into this company (it's based out of Seattle). And I also studied abroad in New Zealand during high school, so now I'm seriously considering sending some of these in care packages to my friends there. :)

If you do want to sign up for the Julep Maven thing, I would absolutely love it if you could use my referral code. Obviously, you don't have to, but if you decide to go through with it, I'd love to add another person to my list of referrals. Here's the code if it interests you: http://www.julep.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/197062/ (it takes you to a style quiz, but if you just want to see what free box options are available, click the link that says "Show Me All Styles" next to "Go Back."

OH! And remember to type in the promo code MAVENBFF at checkout, so your box is free.
