why does islam say that women should be covered?

i are teh

before i type further, i'd like to say i don't know Much about this religion, so please do correct me if i get anything wrong. isn't your body a gift from Allah? why, then, are women meant to hide most of it, showing only their face or eyes? are they viewed as something to be ashamed of? inferior? not individual? what happened?

Answer
Do Women and Men have equal rights?Indeed,Muslim women have, and had since 600 A.D.. Non-Muslim women have been oppressed and suppressed for centuries.Judaism and Christianity consider women to be an inferior species, born sinners, unclean etc. As for atheism,it is not a religion, and thus have no rules. If a chauvinist leader is elected,he may decide to revoke a law allowing women to vote and replace it with one that forbids it.And again, another leader may come up and pass another Bill declaring owning of property by women to be illegal etc.And of course,a just leader may appear centuries later and declare women and men to be equalâ¦. However, since this is so unreliable,we cannot say that atheism gives women rights. In the early 18th century, the English critic Daniel Defoe denounced marriage as "legalized prostitution." English law dispossessed any woman who married, with the notable exception of England's queens.Women were not allowed to own property or land or to control their own assets.William Blackstone,a celebrated 18th century jurist, put it this way:"By marriage, the very being or legal existence of a woman is suspended,or at least incorporated or consolidated into that of the husband, under whose wing, protection, or cover she performs everything."
With the advent of Islam came the verse from the Quran elevating women, honoring them and giving them equal rights with men.Though as we notice in some cases, women have been given greater privilege that men(as in the case when a Muslim woman marries, she becomes an owner of her husbandâs property,BUT her property remains hers alone, and her husband has no right over her wealth).
But Islam makes it clear that women and men are 100% equal in every possible way.In fact, the greatest and most learned scholar,or Imaam in Islam was a woman, the first Muslim on Earth was a woman, the greatest general in Islamic history was a woman(who had led one of the most powerful contingent of armed men, in 7th century Arabia),and 14 centuries earlier,Muslim women were governors of âIslamicâ countries, and women help powerful positions all over the Islamic world.
Can we yet forget how in early 18th century European leaders gathered in Paris to decide whether women should be regarded as humans or animals!?And I would not be surprised if another century later, non-Muslim leaders gather to vote to brand women as animals once again. You see, is there any law preventing them from this?Yes,we may be relieved to see that Islamic laws(i.e. The Quran)remains in its pristine form and has not been changed, and shall never be changed. Thus, our rights are protected within this Great Book.Inherently contentful, the Quranâs authenticity has never been questioned. And this Quran, the direct speech of our Lord, the intelligible light, the bridge by which we shall return to salvation,is present, sustaining and illuminating.
Sir Charles Edward Archibald Hamilton says about Islam:âIslam teaches the inherent sinlessness of man.It teaches that man and women have come from the same essence, possess the same soul and have been equipped with equal capabilities for intellectual, spiritual and moral attainments.âIslam came as the defender of the fairer sex and entitled women to share in the inheritance. It gave women, centuries ago,the right of owning property.Yet it was only 12 centuries later, in 1881, that England, supposed to be the cradle of democracy, adopted this institution of Islam and an Act was passed, called the âMarried Womenâs Actâ.But a thousand years before our time,Islam assured women that they shall have every right and every opportunity as men have. Muslim women never had to bite and fight for their rights as we had.Our Creator ensured that this invincible, just law shall remain until the Last Day,and women will never again be considered as the âweaker sexâ.

Anniversary Gifts from Girlfriend?

Greg Staff

Hi everyone :),

I must confess that I am new to dating since I haven't dated for five or so years up until now. I have been with my partner for two months now, and although we have had a few fights, we've always come good. Anyways in the week leading up to both the first and second month anniversaries, she reminded me excitedly of the impending anniversary. On the first one I bought her twelve red roses and took her out to dinner at a restaurant, and on the second, got a really nice and good quality teddy bear that was holding a I Love You heart. She said thankyou and genuinely looked like she enjoyed the gifts. However she got me nothing, not even a card for either of the anniversaries.

I approached her tonight about it, asking what her thoughts were on anniversaries when should they be celebrated etc etc, and why she didn't get me anything not even a card. Asked her if it was because she expected me not to get her anything, or that she wasn't serious about me. She replied back that "no it was really unexpected, i think that gifts should be on major anniversary dates rather than everyone" to which I replied that she should dictate the anniversary dates then. She replied "ouch, but i think 100 days, 1 year, 3 years, 1000 days, and maybe 5 years". To which she added that "it's hard to me you said you were a minimalist, hard for me to get you a permanent physical gift."

Am I being paranoid that she hasn't given me anything for the first two anniversaries? I mean she helps out and tries to get me to buy clothes and stuff, and she tries to look after my grooming, and we go shopping together and hang out a lot. But is she making excuses by saying that she doesn't know what to get me, not even a card? Because she keeps saying she's serious but it doesn't appear that she is. Or am I thinking too much into it?

Answer
Traditionally Anniversaries and Valentines Day are Days Men give women gifts, although it is becoming more popular for a woman to give a man an anniversary or Valentines Day Gift. If you look in stores and see the products available for anniversaries and Valentines Day they are usually geared to women ( tradition) unless you are celebrating a milestone marriage anniversary in which the wedding couple usually will receive gifts for the both of them, but even then most of the gifts received are housewares. This is why she probably isn't buying you a gift, she may not consider it appropriate because her family may follow the tradition and if you keep hounding her about it she may consider you selfish, silly and too immature for her.

My sister is turning 40 and I have no clue what to get her. She is a friendly, funny, goofy type of person with a young heart. Shes a nurse and is not picky. Any ideas...help!

If she is a nurse then she is a hard-working woman! Give her a certificate (and go with her make a day of it if you can) for a pedicure, massage, or other spa treatment where she can relax. She deserves it.

Help on Christmas gift ideas?

Marven

I need some ideas on what to get these important people in my life, I've been thinking but so far I can't think of many good ideas. I would prefer them to be inexpensive, and something i could make would be even better.

My brother is 10 years old and loves video games, karate type stuff, pretending to be a teacher (he wants to be a teacher when he grows up), RC cars, stuff like that. If I get the newest iPod, I will give him my current iPod touch, since he really wants it.

My mom likes simples things, like candles, pictures, fancy trinkets, etc. She does yoga and loves spiritual type music. I don't really want to get her a candle, since ive gotten her those for many years.

My dad likes computers, playing guitar, playing video games with my brother, and does all the fixing type work for the house. He also has an iPod.

My grandparents like basically anything you get them. My grandpa likes exotic foods, traveling, taking pictures, etc, while my grandma likes things she can use like pretty plates or bowls (but we've gotten her some before) and pretty things she can put around the house, or wear (like jewelry).

My boyfriend like video games, he plays football, basketball, and baseball, he has an iPod, he likes games like warhammer, action figures, that kind of stuff. I don't want anything too romantic because we've just started dating.

Thanks for any help you can give, and have a merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Divali, or any celebration you may celebrate! ^w^

Gift idea for 80th birthday?

Caleb's Mo

My grandmother will be celebrating her 80th birthday next month. I need a good gift idea. We give framed pictures of our kids a lot, so that 's out. My grandmother (and grandfather) are still in good health and fairly active. They love music. They still go around and sing (my grandfather plays guitar) at various nursing homes for the "old people" as they call them. I'd like to give a sentimental gift, if possible, rather than something practical, as she really doesn't need anything.

Answer
For my grandfathers 90th birthday we made a scrapbook with some pictures but mostly of stories or memories that we shared with him. Things that reminded us of him, times we shared, things he shared with us. We have a fairly large family... My grandfather has 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren so there were lots of stories and memories to put in. We live all over the country so the book was mailed all over and each person filled in the things they wanted to and then it ended up with me and I brought it with me to our family reunion. Even if you don't have a lot of people and just did this with your family it would still be cherished.
Another way you could do something similar is by creating a photo book at http://www.snapfish.com You can pick the size and cover and then you just upload your pictures and you can add captions. They turn out much like a coffee table book. I was extremely happy with the one I made.

80th birthday gift suggestions please!?

Deborah

My Uncle is turning 80 in October and I'm desperate for gift idea's. When his wife turned 80 earlier this year, I sent her a huge Edible Arrangement and it was a big hit. I cannot possibly send him the same thing and steal her thunder. He is a diabetic dialysis patient, so no cookie bouquet.

Any suggestions you have for a unique, good quality gift would be appreciated!

Answer
I have been on dialysis. It is incredibly boring. If your uncle stays awake during dialysis (a lot of patients sleep during most of it), then I'd suggest something he can do during dialysis. If he likes to read, then maybe a book by his favorite author, or a subscription to a favorite magazine.. Or if he is cold during dialysis (most people are) then maybe a customized blanket that you can get at Walmart/other stores w/ family pictures.

He could still have an edible gift; it just needs to be dialysis and diabetic friendly. Here is a link to some of those (please note that you can change it to see the other food categories like snacks)).

http://www.davita.com/recipes/subNavLanding.cfm?folderID=723&recipeMainFolder=desserts#diettype

Here is a link to gift giving ideas for people on dialysis:
http://www.davita.com/kidney-disease/dialysis/life-on-dialysis/gift-giving-guide-for-dialysis-patients/e/5296

You could ask the crafty people in the family to make a scrapbook of new and old family pictures, complete w/ names/locations/dates.

If he likes movies, a movie gift basket of his favorite movie, dialysis friendly snacks and a gift card to rent more movies might work.

what is a gift for a bird watcher??

c-monsta

hes 70 years old and just is crazy over birds and i want this Christmas to be special for him

Answer
I was just looking for ideas for gifts for the birdwatchers on my christmas list, and I found a whole bunch of really good ideas on the internet!

On http://ezinearticles.com/?Bird-Watching-Presents---Christmas-Gift-Ideas&id=101088 I found these ideas:

"Bird watchers are rabid about bird watching, and rightfully so. If you are looking for Christmas gift ideas for bird watching presents, here are a few keepers.

Bird Watching Presents

As with practically anything in our modern society, there are all kinds of gadgets and unique gifts that make great Christmas gift ideas for bird watching presents.

1. Electronic Bird Identifier â The Electronic Bird Finder is a device that provides you with the ability to recognize bird sounds and appearances through a comparison with a database in the device. Bird appearances are shown on the device and an ear plug lets you listen to bird calls until you match what you are hearing in the wild with a specific bird in the database. About the size of a pager, the device comes in an easy to carry pouch and is built to take a pounding. You can expect to pay $25 to $50. Just search for âelectronic bird finderâ on the web to find cost options. .

2. Bird Watcherâs Digest â Bird Watcherâs Digest is âtheâ magazine for bird watchers. Great for beginners and avid birding fanatics, the magazine covers unique bird watching locations, birding tips and reviews of Big Day bird watching events to mention just a few items. A one-year subscription will set you back a whopping $19.95, money well spent when you see your friend or loved one hunkered down on the couch and reading away.

3. Trek Pod â This handy device is so cool it should be illegal. The Trek Pod is a multi-function device that acts as a hiking staff while you cruise around looking for optimal bird watching spots. Once you find the perfect location, the staff converts to a tripod you can mount binoculars, cameras and scopes onto. Oh, WHY didnât I think of this?! You can expect to pay $135 for the Trek Pod.

4. Nomad Bird Watching Journals â A little self-promotion. Nomad Bird Watching Journals are great gifts for bird watching enthusiast. Whether they enjoy bird watching tours, backyard birding or bird watching vacations, these journals let bird watchers keep track of sightings, conditions, locations, people met and impressions of the birding experience. A great Christmas gift, you can see the journal by clicking the link in the byline of this article and expect to pay $25 for the journal with case.

I received a gift of 70,000 which I used for the purchase of my home will I have to pay taxes on that money? ?

Jaelee

Answer
No. Gift taxes are paid by the gifter not the giftee.

the IRS website says:

Who pays the gift tax?
The donor is generally responsible for paying the gift tax. Under special arrangements the donee may agree to pay the tax instead. Please visit with your tax professional if you are considering this type of arrangement.

The person who gave you the gift may not have to pay taxes on it either however, because the lifetime exclusion for gift taxes are $1,000,000.00

I don't know if this will hyoerlink, but I'll give it a go www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=164878,00.html

Would you prefer not to receive gift list info with your invitation?

M J H

I'm wondering if it's best to send out invites only, and leave it to the guests to enquire about gift lists if they want to. I don't want people to feel obliged to give, but as everyone else seems to be sending out gift list info with their invites, I don't want people to feel awkward and confused if they don't receive any info wondering what is expected of them.

I'm also planning to have 2 gift lists - because I'm the kind of person who would rather shop around to get value for money, than just have one gift list. I don't want people to pay silly prices, and so have selected 2 stores that each have some items that we need. One is quite upmarket, and the other is rather everyday!

Advice and opinions please..

Thanks!

Answer
And you are so right not to put a list in the invitations, and for the right reasons. It is rude and very poor etiquette. It would telling people that a gift is mandatory, just as you thought. And do save the lists for when people call to ask. They will not be confused. They will call.
Feel free to register at those stores you picked out, most offer that service these days, and perfectly ok to pick one that is less expensive, like Target, Walmart. Most of the big box stores do offer registry services.
I do so appreciate a good bargain, It benefits me, I get to buy more for the bride and stay within my budget, and she gets more presents! I would also appreciate a bride who was ready for me to call with her lists in hand.
You go girl, you are doing everything right! And it is ok to arm relatives and bridesmaids with the lists. Not for them, but in case someone asks. People do so love to surprise the bride with just the right present.
And do not be afraid to ask for inexpensive presents. Sure, there are people out there who could not afford to buy more than a spatula for a wedding present, but most people are wise and affluent enough to buy a selection of small items. When I was setting up my household, I would have killed for a box of kitchen gadgets.
Congrats.

Inexpensive Birthday gift idea...last minute?

it's for my best friend of 20 years...she will be 31 Monday..st.patricks day. and she is miserably pregnant (13weeks..lol) something cute, sweet, and girly for under $10

I am a last minute kind of person unlike the person i am buying for who buys her gifts a year in advance...lol her party is in 3 hours
what flowers are pretty and green??? that would be fun..green flowers..not those died daisies at walmart with glitter all over them...green mums maybe??
she like's taking care of her plants and flowers...I was thinking more like some flowers in a nice pretty pot for her back patio...she has a little container garden

and we both go really cheap, it's an agreement we have.

Answer
Green plant would be nice to give a person who is pregnant and having a birthday, it is green and still a nice gift to get either way Good Luck !

What is a good wedding gift for under $75?

smiley2196

Answer
If you have a Macys nearby (or target or ikea), they usually have really good deals on tumblers and high ball glasses and martini glasses(10 bucks for packs of four). You can buy one of each for 30 dollars. Also, a ten dollar cocktail shaker (we are at 40 now). You have enough to buy a bottle of a good spirit (like grey goose or cazadores) and a card, or I would buy a few bottles of mixers like dry vermouth (about 4 bucks) some triple sec (about 8 bucks) and maybe a schnapps flavor. (another 8 bucks). That's a lot of stuff for 55. I always think barware is a cool wedding gift. With the extra 20 you can even buy a nice basket or box and make it look fancy.

What's a good birthday gift for a woman turning 60?

dejavuist

Answer
Spa/Manicure/Pedicure certificates are a great idea. Or $40 - $100 at her favorite restaurant. If she likes movies, you could get her a movie theater or Blockbuster certificate. If she's on a fixed income, she probably can't afford stuff like that. I would not suggest perfume unless you know which kind she likes. Ladies are very particular about their perfume, and older people tend to be sensitive to it anyways.

Do NOT get her some "cute" gag gift to make her feel old. Nothing that says "Over The Hill" or anything like that. That's mean.

I read somewhere that more women is converting to?

Mindy Mick

To isalm? Why is it? What does isalm have for women?

Answer
Yes Mindy it's true. Over 60 % of converts to Islam are women, and if you've read the statistics you probably know that the number of people converting to Islam is astounding. The reason why - God knows the best - ultimately because these women study the religion and realize it as truth. But as for your question of what Islam has to offer, you and others should know that ISLAM HAS MORE TO OFFER WOMEN THEN ANY OTHER RELIGION. It is more liberating even then feminism. Firstly, the Qur'an unequivocally states that women are equal to men - find me a another religious text that does that! then rights of a woman are clearly laid out. For example, a wife has the right to complete financial support from her husband. That means even if she works, she doesn't have to pay for the rent, food, clothes, unless she wants to. The wife also has a right to kindness. Even when the man wants to divorce the wife he has to treat her kindly. Their is so much consideration for women and their sensitivity, for example in Islam a woman has the right to live separate from her in-laws. It is in black and white in the sources of Islam that men are encouraged to give gifts to their wives, to be physically affectionate with them, to treat them like princesses when they are menstruating, even down to the details of intimacy - for example one the Prophet Muhammad (saw) described men who sleep with their wives without affection first and foreplay as being guilty of cruelty. Can you show me any other religion with anything close to this?!

This might not be what people have 'heard' about Islam. But that's the problem - it's all hearsay. Its all lies. Some Muslims may be more practicing of this then others, and some Muslim countries may have cultures that are not aligned with the religion in this realm. But certainly it is exaggerated by the media.

I am one of the women in the statistics who chose to become Muslim, and it is the best thing I ever did in my life. I would not leave Islam for all the gold and riches of the world. I encourage all women, and men to learn - from real sources - about this beautiful religion.

taurus man & taurus woman?

i've been with my taurus man for quite a while now. but recently we've gotten into this...huge....[not exactly a 'fight'...but i guess that's what you can call it.] and we were sending each other cute little text messages...and the one i sent him was; "i think you should come dance with me in the street. the moon is soo pretty tonight!" [of course, i was only dreaming about it...] and his practical self replies to me "cant leave the house babysittin nd they dnt want to trade me jobs." sooo! i said; "well maybe you should babysit imagination too.." and then from there it just got worse and i just kept getting fresh with him.|: i kept telling him nothing's wrong..when he would ask..but i kept replying in little words, so i made it kind of obvious...so, now, we aren't talking. and we haven't spoken since last nights incident. these waves of emotions are almost killing me! and i'm getting a little insecure! i want to text him and tell him i'm sorry about last night, but i'm afraid he won't text me back? or even ignore me! i don't know! i don't know what to do!
so as of now, we're both giving each other the silent treatment...and i don't think we'll be talking to one another anytime soon.
i need hellppp!

and also, i need some tips to spice things up a bit. i'm a little on the spontanious side, so i'm up for anything! like...what special moves would really get to him?

lastly, i want to know some of your taurean experiences and what they were like. i'm so curious!
i've been searching on here, and i saw some stuff on sassastrology.com? there were tons of girls saying that taureans are so boring! and puzzling!
so please share! :D

Answer
Taurus
If you are in love with a Taurus man or woman, understand that this person is a one-woman man or a one-man woman (unless Gemini predominates elsewhere in the natal chart). Primarily interested in security, this being is looking to settle dow! n and doesn't need a lot of movement. Preferring routine activities and traditional, established pleasures, this person is happy to continue on with whatever he or she has been doing for years. You will need to be able to fit somewhat into this already settled routine. You will attract his or her attention by giving gifts of quality; ticky-tacky is a turnoff for these practical souls. Known for their good taste, you will be more interesting to this being if you value yourself. Paying attention to your clothing and hair will help to show him or her that you understand the importance of appearance. Taureans love to stay home and get cozy in their nests. Their idea of a good time is to rent a bunch of videos and veg out on the co! uch or in the easy chair. They also enjoy gourmet fo ods and fine wines and will often have highly developed culinary abilities. These souls can definitely be won over through their stomachs, so dig up your best recipes and give it a try. They do, however, sometimes resemble their animal, the bull, in that they cannot be pushed; you will see some real digging in if you try. Gentle persuasion is a much better tool with these people. You also should be aware that, in general, they often need to ponder each word that you speak before being able to give you an answer. Allowing these souls a moment to think before expecting a response will result in a much happier relationship. Taureans also have a real need for security; you won't make points by squandering assets or avoiding saving. These beings need to have a home base which belongs to them and where they know they can retreat to in times of trouble. A nest egg for rainy days is also an essential.

TAURUS MAN

A quiet simple man who can do something unexpected to shock you. Taurus man mostly medium tall, strong with good health, good strong body. Gemini woman and capricorn man compatability?

dest

Im currently dating a cap man and i know traditionally this pairing isnt the best match. i jus wanted to know if any of u can tell me what your experence with this pairing was like. thanks in advance

Answer
This is all I can say, and hopefully, it will help. Good Luck.
Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury and Capricorn is ruled by the planet Saturn. These two planetary influences are inclined to oppose one another. Saturn is associated with a cold and masculine energy that is related to perseverence and thus, aids Capricorn in moving ahead through all manner of difficulties. The energy of Mercury is basically considered to be androgynous, lending Gemini the gift of intellect and communication. Neither Gemini nor Capricorn is apt to give up easily but together, they may cause one another to repress their natural emotions. Indeed, Gemini already tends to skim the surface of emotions, chosing to take love affairs as lightly as this Sign takes most things in life. In addition, Capricorn may dampen Gemini's enthusiastic spirit if both partners do not take care to maintain their boundaries and allow each other to do the same. Gemini is governed by the element of Air while Capricorn is governed by the element of Earth. Capricorn is practical, steady and efficient, seeing no need to take risks if there is no guarantee of a pay-off. Conversely, Gemini is theoretical and analytical, totally absorbed with risk-taking and following wherever inventive ideas may lead. While Capricorn busily wonders what good something will be in achieving life's main plan, Gemini simply moves with the flow according to no set path in particular. Gemini is Mutable in quality and Capricorn is Cardinal. Capricorn initiates things and constantly want to be in control. Gemini is more flexible and generally content to follow Capricorn's lead...provided there is no force involved. Gemini needs to feel free to agree, disagree and choose at will. If Gemini begins to feel coerced, then the response will be nothing short of aloofness and inaccessibility. If this couple value their relationship and want it to continue, they must learn to compromise. Here, each individual will bring his or her own particular qualities to the union. If each can allow the other to be himself or herself...rather than measuring one another against impossible standards...then they could blend well to make a whole. This will be a challenging match but could prove to be one that is worth the effort.

In essence, this combination represents something of an odd pairing. Patience is a virtue to natives of Capricorn...not so for Gemini. Unless there is a willingness on the part of Gemini to slow down and heed the good advice of the Capricorn mate, there is sure to be much dissension and unhappiness. The Capricorn drive to excel will also probably prove to be too much for the Gemini partner. The natural tendency of Gemini to communicate can become rather bogged down under Capricorn's influence and so, in order for this union to work, both will need to reach a truce based upon simply getting on with things.

Best gift for pregnant girlfriend?

Tim P

We accidently got pregnant 2 months ago. It has been quite a trying time for us.
Things between us have actually really improved since we found out about our coming baby. We have been coming closer and closer each day.
I want to do something just for Nichole to make her feel special.
These last few months have all been about us or the baby so I want this gift just for her.
Any ideas?
She is a very practible, no-sense woman. Never splurges on herself.
clothes? day spa? jewelry?

Answer
I would say clothes... since she'll be needing some new ones and what better way to try to make a "growing" pregnant lady feel prerrty than to have a new stylish wardrobe? I also think a nice necklace or something would be special too. Something that kinda shows her she means a lot to you and you're thankful she's carrying your baby?

Women: would you say it is a gift to be able to become pregnant?

Sean

If not why? Also what is it like to have something growing inside of you, be detailed if you don't mind.

Answer
It definitely is. I know people who have tried and failed many times for a baby and the amount of couples I've read about on here who are/were ttc and can't or took them so long, I really feel for them. I was one of the lucky ones. I got pregnant when I was 18, I wasn't trying but the condom broke and when we found out I was pregnant we decided to keep it, I don't agree with abortions when the person getting it hasn't been using any contraception and I certainly wasn't going to do it myself. I had to quit college and my whole world was turned upside down and inside out but my little boy is definitely THE best thing to EVER happen in my life and I don't don't regret it one single bit.

Being pregnant was absolutely amazing, one of the best experiences in my life. the first 3-4 months i was just constantly nauseous and it made me pretty much bed bound, I couldn't even get up for a pee without my stomach doing somersaults but then if faded away and at around 4-4and a half months I started to feel flutters in my belly, similar to when you get butterflies or when you're hungry and your belly rumbles, but it was all very soft and light. The more the baby grew the more I could feel it, it kept getting harder and harder until it got to the point where he was kicking me in the ribs and the bladder, giving me a quick jolt that felt like, if it was just that bit harder, I would have peed myself for sure. When he would roll over he'd drag a hand or a foot along the front of my belly, it would feel just like someone dragging their finger over the front of your belly but on the inside and sometimes, if I looked at the right moment, I would see that same spot on my belly that he was moving across or poking rise up, just a little bit. When I got to around 8 and a half months I started to get really bad pains that would result in my being in hospital, every wednesday for some reason, and they would always tell me the same thing - "the baby is lying on something, probably a nerve or a muscle, and that is what is causing you the pain" I was in hospital for that every week from 8 and a half months until the the day I went in to give birth. That was the only part I didn't like, that horrible pain every week. I didn't even mind the feeling sick part :)
It's an absolutely incredible experience and I can't wait to do it again.
