Im A 22 Year Old Female Virgin.....So Scared.?

COOL LOVIN

Im a 22 year old female Virgin who has a boyfriend, we do things like oral sex and pretty much everything apart from sex....I keep backing out when it comes to penetration, im so scared of the pain and the uncomfortableness, the bleeding and I dont know what to expect, I cannot bring myself to having sex with my long term stable boyfriend. What was your experience like and how long does the pain last for. I know everyone is different, but i feel inadequate because I cannot give my boyfriend the most precious gift. Please any sensible advice most appreciated.

Thanks
Chantelle

Answer
First time sex is probably NEVER even close to "perfect" from the physical perspective. Most women report that their first sexual intercourse was somewhere between "very uncomfortable" and "hurt like hell". Something like half of all women say they bled enough to notice.

When my wife and I exchanged virginity (she gave hers to me, and received mine in return) she expected it to hurt and she did have a fair amount of pain. A lot of that was because both of us were a little eager and inexperienced - I'll tell you what we could have done better in a moment. She bled about like a heavy period but it didn't last long. (Perhaps the only thing I really did well on that first time was to have a washcloth and warm water ready to clean her up as soon as we finished.)

Physiologically, it was perhaps some of the worst sex we've had in over 35 years of marriage - mentally and emotionally it is an extremely significant and meaningful event in both our lives. Though even on the physical level, we were eager to do it again only about 2 hours later so it wasn't horrible!

A few things to "set the mood" are definitely worthwhile! Comfortable surroundings - plenty of privacy - a light, but special meal. Alcohol is a poor sexual lubricant but ONE glass of wine may be helpful.

You have already spent time learning about each others' bodies and how to pleasure each other without penetrative sex, with necking, petting, oral sex, etc. Have you learned how to bring each other to orgasm without intercourse?

Many sources suggest three things that make a girl's very first time go better. One is for her partner to orgasm shortly before trying to enter her. It will help him have the control and consideration to be aware of her response, and minimize her discomfort. While he is "recharging" - about 5 or 10 minutes - he should bring her to orgasm with his mouth, fingers, etc. Then she will be as relaxed, open, and lubricated, as she'll ever be. The third thing to do, rather than getting on top or pinning her to the mattress, is to for HIM to lay on his back, have her straddle him, and let HER guide him into her vagina. She should think, "I'm going to envelope his erection with my vagina.", instead of "He's going to stick it into me.". There is NO WAY he can feel what she is feeling - let her find the best location, angle, etc for gently easing into her. Unfortunately, I suspect most young women are too self-conscious and nervous to actually do this.

Like bowling, long division, or public speaking, good sex is something you learn through practice. It's an even more complicated activity than these examples. Like sports, sex is physical; like math, sex is mental; and like oration, sex is psychological. For most of us, both guys and gals, the first time isn't great sex. My first time was lousy sex. My wife's first time was lousy sex. (As I mentioned, her first time and my first time were the same time.) But even though it was lousy sex, it was very significant and meaningful to us.

The physiological mechanics of sex, especially your first time, are well-documented on dozens of web sites. Some examples include "How can I make my first time having sex enjoyable?" at [ http://www.dearcupid.org/question/how-can-i-make-my-first-time-having.html ] and, "I want to start having sex with him . . ." at [ http://www.dearcupid.org/question/i-want-to-start-having-sex-with-him.html ] (scroll down to find my response), and "He's a virgin, I'm not. How can I make it meaningful for him?" at [ http://www.dearcupid.org/question/hes-a-virgin-im-not--how-can.html ] and "Any stories about losing your virginity??" at [ http://www.dearcupid.org/question/any-stories-about-losing-your-virginity.html ].

Something we weren't prepared for was our emotional state immediately afterwards. I've read about this and talked to others, and the details vary WIDELY among people. (My wife & I were both sobbing, and pain wasn't the major cause.) The best I can say is that you need to be sensitive to each other, as well as yourselves, because you can do some emotional damage without even realizing it.

whats s good "gag" gift for a woman turning 40 years old?

-one-

besides a card. (already got her one)
thx

Answer
When my aunt was about 35 or so, her eyes started going and she got some reading glasses. When they would visit, she would insist that after a cocktail, she couldn't see very well so my mom, as a joke, went to the kitchen and got one of those round seals from a milk bottle and brought it out to her as a monocle. My aunt put it on and insisted that she in fact could see better.

After that, whenever we saw her, she would ask for her monocle.

So, when it was time for her to turn 40, we collected 40 of these things and wrapped Popsicle sticks to them, wrapped them up and gave them to her. Her family, and mine were laughing outloud for minutes because there had been 5 years or so of buildup by this point.

I realize that the joke would be lost because there is no history, but perhaps look for something like that - is there some kind of way to turn an inside joke from years past into a gift?

However, I've re-read the other posts and many have a point - women can be sensitive about their age. For that matter so can men. I know between my sister and myself, we're pretty brutal. I nailed her bad when she turned 30, but then when it was my turn, ouch! That hurts! Tit for tat in that case, but we are siblings - neither of us care. My sister and I basically operate on the idea that "Hey, leave my (sibling) alone! (he/she) is MY emotional punching bag! Back off or you are dealing with me."

what is the best gift for a woman im dating for christmas?

Hollywood

She's 20 me too but i don't know what i should get her
we have been dating for a couple months but aren't officially together yet
but out of the women ive dated recently i really like her and i was thinking about
getting this diamond necklace from Macy's that looks like a hershey kiss

Answer
Does she wear jewelery? Would she wear it if she had any? A necklace would be the perfect gift if she liked to wear necklaces. However, necklaces tend to be the 'go-to' gift for guys who don't know what to get. It is jewelery, but it doesn't have the same meaning as a ring. If she has pierced ears, ear rings might be preferable to a necklace.

If you have been dating for a couple of months, you must have some idea of what she loves. Obviously, she enjoys spending time with you so make your gift an activity. Is there a special concert or event that she would love to go to? Does she collect any specific item? Do you share a love for a certain type of music? You want your gift to remind her of you so it should be something that means something to both of you.

Last year my boyfriend gave me a promissory note to let me wear his shirt (my favorite) after he had worn it for a day. I would wear it the next day and I could smell his aftershave. I would wash it and return it so that he could wear it again. Wearing that shirt always made me feel loved and cared for. The best gift ever!

Fun, electronic, cheap christmas gifts for a woman?

Chris

Hi... My family does this secret santa thing every year, and I got my mom. the problem is that I can't buy her clothes, because she only wears suits, I can't buy her jewlery, because she only wears Tiffanys, and I have a price cap of $60. What she does like is electronics. Are there any fun, electronic gifts for a woman that fit my budget?

Answer
You should take a look at a Samsung S3 MP3 player. I bought 1 about 6 months ago. It works great and it's very good looking. Last time i checked, it was about $70.

I am 18 yrs old. but I look younger. Advice?

I am a 18 yr. old female jamaican woman... but I look like a 15-16 year old.. How can I look my age? Should I get a piercing would that help?

Answer
embrace it! because later on you'll be like 50 but look 40. its a gift!!

My Jamaican in-laws don't like me???!!!?

**ME**

Ok..not to say that it's only a 'Jamaican' thing. But that's what they are, so it is what it is. I emphasize 'Jamaican' because I'm feeling that it's because of my nationality. My issue is..

My hubby and I have been together for years...and in turn we are now happily married. He is a jamaican national...turned 'american' citizen by way of you know....I'm from the US..etc etc..

Anyway...his friends and most family 'don't like' me. Or shoud I say, the 'idea' of me. For I have never formally met them...so I'm not understanding why.

They don't disrespect me in any way...but it's like they just plain out don't RESPECT me. They always refer to me with an adjective...like 'foreign' or something describing me as being an American. OH YEAH!...and a YANKEE!

I don't want to explain all my experiences in detail..all in all, I'm feeling like this:

They think I'm like a downgrade or that my husband 'settled for less' by marrying an American girl.

What's up with that? I love my husband for who he is, not because he is Jamaican..and vice versa. Might I add, I LOVE the culture..and he loves the American culture. So what's all the animosity about?

The only ones that are nice are the ones that 'beg'. I find this to be ridiculous.

Is there like a big cultural issue in Jamaica when it comes to marrying one of a different nationality? (not only american)

I agree with you miss 'highly favored'.
I am familiar with the terminology 'foreign' and 'yankee' etc. What I'm saying is that when they call..they know my name!..but they don't call and say stuff like..how are you and 'foreign' doing? And you and 'yankee'....instead of just using my name. I'm trying to be positive about it, but it seems like disrespect.

BUT yes...if they don't like it..oh well!
(i jacked that last paragraph all up!)
I meant that

'they DO call and say.....'

Answer
Honestly? There coudl be MANY different reasons for the treatment you describe.

1. Could be paranoia on your part. I doubt this is the case, but you could be reading too deeply into thier calling you a 'foreigner'. As unlikely as it is i must suggest this as a possibility.

2. It could also be a DEEP family trait, that is very much prejudiced against people of other cultures or races. In my family, 90% of all those who have 'succesful' marriages are married to either Jamaicans or at least people of carribean descent. You husband may very well have evolved away from this trait, and adapted so much to US culture that in the long run it will be a non-issue.

3. The other MOST SERIOUS risk is that he has NOT evolved. If he still holds the cultural prejudices deep down, that fact could be playing a role in why his family sound that way.

Solution:
Your husband. He is the best person to talk to his family discreetly and let them know you don't like it. Its also important for you to spend some 'broke time' in jamaica. By that? i mean come here with him and spend FAMILY time that is focussed on your getting to know everyone and them getting to know and relate to you as a human being... you can bring some gifts, but you dont want them to see you as a wealthy "money tree"...so dont brign too much money. Learn some jamaican cooking from the women in his family. Go do stuff with your nephews and nieces and cousins etc. At some point? You will feel safe letting them know how you feel about that 'foreigner' tag. They will eventually take it off you quite ceremoniously.

Be forewarned that like any in-laws? Some may NEVER like you, but that's there choice. All you will do is make sure that it isnt because of anythign you've done or have failed to do.

As strange as it sounds? The name-calling may make it seem unique, but All of this is still the normal process by which families try to come together after a marriage. The fact that there is physical and cultural DISTANCE makes it a bit more 'interesting' and makes it easier for misunderstandings to occur. i doubt it would be much different if you were from italy and carried your jamaican husband home...to italy, or if you were mexican or russian or anythign like that.

What's a good gift for the kitchen?

Miss L

My mom enjoys cooking and baking but want to try and avoid getting her something that causes her to do more work lol

She has a million spices, so a spice rack would just not be practical since she already occupies an entire cupboard lol

It's hard to know because she has so many things. You'd think the people you are closest with would be the easiest - oh no! She is always the hardest every year! :) and the funny thing is I could get her absolutely nothing and she'd be just as happy...I want to do something wonderful for a truely wonderful woman.

Answer
If she has a lot of items already for her kitchen, try something more personal...even a great magazine/mug/tea bags/spiced honey--made by you to sweeten it/or even make her a tie blanket out of her favourite colours/design.

making gifts for christmas?

psycholuv3

im running low on money this christmas so i was wondering what kind of things can i make, or what are some cheap gift items?

Answer
It's perfectly FINE to give a handmade Christmas gift!

Some things you can make (pretty inexpensively):

Scented candles

Hand-decorated Christmas ornaments

Baked goods (cookies, nut-bread, chocolate-peppermint rolls, etc.) that you can prepare ahead of time in quantity, and wrap and give individually

Small themed gift-baskets (for example, sample sizes of flavored coffee or tea, along with a nice mug, in a basket with some shredded-paper filler ... you can buy all these items at dollar stores or discount stores)

Other gift baskets, depending on the recipients likes/interests, could include a crossword-puzzle magazine and a few new pencils, or a few small kitchen gadgets/utensils and a package of recipe cards, some craft- or art-supplies.

Fruit baskets are easy (and cheap!) to put together yourself. Buy a bag of apples, a bag of oranges, any other fruit that's inexpensive ... some baskets (thrift-stores such as Goodwill often sell baskets for 25 or 50 cents!) and make your own!

Other ideas:

Cheap picture frames (again, dollar store) that you embellish/personalize ... you can use paint, glitter, buttons, decoupage ... the possibilities are endless.

Small photo albums ... include a few pictures of yourself and the friend to whom you're giving the album, leaving the rest of the pages blank ... again, you can embellish the album as mentioned above.

If you like to embroider or do cross-stitch, you can buy plain kitchen towels, potholders, etc., and personalize them that way.

If you knit, crochet, or sew ... scarves, hats, or household items are easy to make/personalize.

Just use your imagination. And don't feel like it's cheap to give a handmade gift, it isn't ... personally, I LOVE receiving a gift that someone put him/herself into!

No birthday gift = no christmas gift. Is it fair?

deetrosa

My boyfriend of 2 years did not get me a birthday present this year (it was in September). I asked for a horseback riding trip that ended for the year about a week after my birthday. He said he would take care of booking it....but just didn't. And I never got anything to replace it.

So I am not planning on getting him a christmas gift this year, even though he already said he got me one. I know it sounds petty, but I have no desire to be the bigger person; I want him to feel how I felt.

Curious to know what others would do in my position

Answer
Gift giving should never be a "tit-for-tat" thing. You give because you WANT to give.

But it is only a human thing to fall into doing so. I have had BF's who simply do not give gifts, and I have stopped giving them gifts. You are desiring revenge, and it is never a good motive, nor building block for a good relationship. If this is part of it, then my suggestion is to start considering getting rid of the jerk.

And in that case, NOT giving any gifts to him would be a normal part of a NON-relationship.

Have a polite day.

Does my brother deserve a christmas gift?

Maya C

I am 16 years old, my brother is 14. My brother has got a problem which is that he cannot have any feelings for others. He cannot show empathy. He doesn't live at home since my parents cannot handle him anymore. He gets to come home every second weekend however and now he will be home for two weeks over christmas.

My brother takes my money whenever he gets a possibility to do so therefore me and my family have to hide our money all the time so that he won't take it and by cigarettes, alcohol and drugs all the time. Although he has taken so much money from me lately so that I am almost broke.

Do you think that I should buy hum a gift for christmas anyway?
I am sorry I wasn't clear enough. There's absolutely nothing wrong with my parents, they are very nice though they are almost breaking apart due to the situation with my brother. My brother has like a handicap though you can't notice it since he is pretty smart or at least normal. He is currently living in a school where others with similar problems are living. I know that since he has a handicap I should consider that and be nice, however his handicap is that he cannot like other people obviously or at least he cannot appreciate them. Therefore I am not sure if it really would matter to him if I buy him a gift for christmas...

Answer
wow, tough question. it sounds like he's extremely selfish -- stealing money from his own sister -- but you still care enough to at least consider giving him a gift. kudos to you for being such a good sister!

to be honest, i don't know whether i would give him a gift or not. i would certainly feel guilty if i intentionally excluded him, but the truth is that he doesn't sound like the kindof person who appreciates gifts as expressions of love. he sounds more to me like the kindof person who feels his gifts are entitlements.

i wish i had a better answer for you, but there is no easy solution to this one. try to figure out how he would react if you got him a gift, versus how he would react if you did not. also try to figure out the emotional impact to you. ultimately, in a situation like this i suggest going with your intuition -- if your gut instinct tells you a solution is right, and it feels right, there is probably some reason it's right (something you have not observed on a conscious level).

i really hope this helps; good luck!

Feel Funny About Gift.?

Born Valen

I saw this nice pewter tray with a man with a scythe chafing wheat or proper term needed here. On it says "Give us this day our daily bread." I saw it on a Friday and said to myself: It's neat but a little different with a funny feeling. On Saturday my mom tells me she got it as a gift from my brother's girlfriend. The girl said to my mom: "My mother (deceased) had one just like it, and I decided to get you one. My mother felt bad and thought to herself why give a gift that most likely was her mothers? or something that resembeled what her mother had?

I am just curious. My mom even feels strange about the gift as well. Yes, we are religious but there's a funny feeling to the gift.
Anyone explain? Would you buy a gift and then say this.
It's an antique.

Answer
I understand the gift and the giver's sentiment. What I don't understand is yours and your mom's reaction to the gift.

"Give us this day our daily bread" is part of the Lord's Prayer in the Bible. I am acquainted with the pewter tray you are describing. It's quite lovely.
It is a heartfelt gesture to say that you are offering someone a gift that either reminds you of your own mom or maybe even used to belong to your own mom (although she didn't say that it once was her mothers. By the way, it would have to be an antique because that image of the man and scythe chafing wheat is not on those pewter trays that are being sold today anymore)
It's quite endearing and sweet in its intent and both of you are suspicious. Sad the entire meaning behind this gift and the motivation of the giver is lost on the two of you. She was just simply offering you something from her heart and memories.

websites for easy to make christmas gifts?

Lisa C

I am on maternity leave this Christmas and I do not have alot of moey to spend on christmas gifts this year. Can anyone give me any ideas or web sites where I can make cheap christmas presents?

Answer
Maybe you can bake some holiday treats and add a cute story or poem. I wish I knew who you needed to give gifts to. Also, check out www.homemakingcottage.com for more ideas. Here is one thing I looked up and found on the site....
Fresh baked bread, rolls, breadsticks, or cookies. (Send your recipe along with it.)

Free or cheap gift ideas...

Share your favorite thought or scripture. Write it on a nice paper and attach a magnet on the back.

Stationary and stamps always make a nice gift, especially for someone leaving on a mission or going away to college.

Stencil on an apron, dish towel, pot holder, pillowcase or t-shirt.

Balloon bouquets, Birthday banners made on the computer.

Fresh fruits, vegetables, or flowers from your garden. Since this is so late in the year I would suggest canned items that were from your garden. You can decorate the top with a square of Christmas fabric and tie with twine.

A basket of small sample items. (Shampoo & Conditioner, lotion, bubble bath, soap, etc.)

Coupon for free babysitting, window washing, ironing, etc.

Take dinner to a friend in a picnic basket with paper plates, paper cups, napkins, and plastic utensils.

A bottle of 7-up or root beer ties with balloons and ribbon decorated for the Christmas season.

Give items to go with a favorite hobby. (film & batteries for a photographer, etc.)

List all of the reasons you are thankful for someone and why you love them. Fill a jar with candy pieces and the notes you wrote for them.

Mirror with a note. "Everyone enjoys the goodness you reflect."

Tape record some of your children's stories. Present the tape with the books so they can read along.

Have a "Souper" day! Give a can of soup and box of crackers.

Here is a gift basket idea.
Movie basket
Includes: Gift certificates to video store, microwave flavored popcorn, peanuts, and pop.

god mother-38
god father-39
friend but like sisters-12

please just fill out the ones you can!

Answer
This is tough....but here goes:
The whole idea I have is based on time rather than money. $10 isn't a lot unless you spend it on things that force you to spend time with your family.

mom-50
**hit the local market and buy some pasta or some inexpensive easy to make food...and cook dinner for your mom.
brother-20
sister-23
sister-25
friend but like sisters-12
**Go to the local movie theatre with $40 dollars (10 for each of them) and get gift certificates to a movie. When you give them the card with the certificates, plan a day for all of you to see a movie together.
brother in law-27
**Sports fan? Go to a sports memorabilia store an buy a rare signed baseball card or something that he might like.
newphew-3 monthes(I LOVE HIM!!!!!!) :)
**tough age...but easy to only spend $10 dollars. Go to a baby store and buy clothes off the clearance rack.
god mother-38
god father-39
**pick a charity that either means a lot to you or to them and donate the $10 dollars and maybe some of your free time to work for the charity in their name.

Valentines Day Gift Ideas?!?

Q. What can I get my 17 year old boyfriend for Valentines Day? We have been together for 2 months. I think we will be together for a really long time and I want to get him something that when he looks at it, he will instantly think of me. He is going off to college this year and I'm going to be a junior in high school. Any ideas?

Glowing 3D Heart Broach
This three-dimensional heart broach can be pinned to just about anything. You can leave it blinking on a gift, on your Valentine's door, or if you're willing to do so, parade around the entire day with a badge of love glowing on your chest.

Valentine's Robo-Grinch
This is a project for DIYers with a boxful of spare parts and plenty of cynicism to waste. It's also very fitting if you're a fan of bad puns. Having said that, it's a cute little toy that will go over well as long as your significant other is friendly with irony.

Lego Heart
Get nostalgic with your Valentine and woo them with Legos. You can add a chain to the top for them to sport it as a necklace, keychain or bracelet. Handpicking the colors can add a personal touch and shows you actually listen when they talk to you.

What gift should i get for my friend in India?

*lil' leas

I have a friend in Northern India and her birthday is coming up. For previous birthdays i sent her a hollister shirt, an American Eagle shirt, cds, and a dream catcher. I want to send her something unique from the US, or anything that she probably wouldn't have.Any ideas?

Answer
Well...now a days you can find anything in India that is available in US. You can send few different gifts depending on your budget. I would suggest you to record your wishes to her and your feeling towards her as a video and send it to her along with any gift.

Well you want to give her a traditional gift, try sending her a saree. Search on the web and you can find sites where you can send sarees to her door steps, I hope that will make her happy.

Hope this helps you

How would I go about sending a package (birthday gifts) to India ?

Q. Im in California & I want to send my boyfriend a birthday gift . It will contain a stuffed monkey ,a birthday card w/envelope &2 beanies . Ive read on Usps sites about mailing but am a little confused .How do I go about sending it ? Process & such .& Can I even ship these items ? Please & Thank you to anyone willing to help {: .

Answer
You will need a customs form. Theft is a problem in some countries so you may want to add registered mail. You should ask your boyfriend about theft in India's postal service. Keep the receipts to the items you send him. If you have a scale, try to weigh the items then put them in the box and weigh them in the box. The customs form asks for the weight.

I have a visa gift card from walmart....?

Q. and i want to try to use it on Walmart.com....but it won't let me...do you have any ideas??

Answer
So I'm guessing this is a visa gift card that works anywhere, or just at walmart? Anyway, the only thing that I can think of is that the gift card only has a certain amount of money on it, and you're trying to use more than that amount. This is obnoxious, but I know that at the store I work at you have to know the exact amount on the visa gift card, and if you attempt to put on anything over that amount it won't go through at all (like, if your total is $40 and your giftcard is only $25 you would have to specify you wanted to use the giftcard for 25, you couldn't just swipe it and have the machine tell you that there is a 15 dollar balance) I don't know if they work like that online though, but I'm guessing that it's possible. Visa gift cards are a pain.

What should i get my boyfriend for our 6 month anniversary?

Q. I'm not sure what to get, i have a few weeks and i want to do something sweet. he already ordered my gift (anniversary/birthday gift). we are only 16 so im not sure.. please help

Answer
Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:

Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.

Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it more of a homemade feeling.

Can anyone recommend a site where I can find cute long-handled umbrellas for women?

KMB

Can anyone recommend a site where I can find cute long-handled umbrellas for women in the $10-$30 range? I am looking to buy them as a gift for my bridesmaids, so I want something sweet and of decent quality, but not extravagant. Thanks!
By the way, when I say long-handled, I mean the curved "cane end" type... not just a golf umbrella =)

Answer
Whenever I wanna find out about any kind of product..I check out ebay first. It puts all products into sections..then u can find the more popular brands/styles of whatever product...then google keywords/brands that you found while browsing ebay

What are some awesome gift ideas for a woman in her early 20's?

Q. I need your help...
It's my best friend's birthday and I want to get her something different than usual. She has an outgoing party girl personality, with a love of animals. She's 23.
What I'm looking for:
*Any helpful websites or gift ideas
*Something unique
*$50 or under
I got her an animal calender before, I was thinking more along the lines of studded heart shaped sunglasses-something funky
Great idea with the heels, she'd love that

Answer
Your friend will love whatever you give her because it will come from the heart. Women her age love so many things so I don't think you can go wrong with what you get her. I love jewelry, clothes, perfume, gift cards, etc. The sunglasses sound like a great idea. I love sunglasses. I can never have too many pairs.

Have some good Christmas gift ideas?

I am drawing a blank on this one. For grandparents, 16 yr old girl, 14 yr old boy 23-50 yr men, and 42-48 yr women. Any gift ideas on these age groups and gender for my family?

Answer
When I'm in a jam for an idea, I make a gift "basket". This basket can be a little bucket, a cleaning supply caddy, a small trashcan, storage container, or an actual basket. For guys, one year, I bought a bunch of small(bigger than a shoebox)rubbermaid containers. I put balled up tissue paper in the bottom and started to fill with all kinds of guy things. Examples, small aerosol cans of WD-40, packages of disposable razors, Armor wipes for their car interiors, you get the idea. Arrange all this to sit up and look nice, sprinkle hard candy around. You can get shrink wrap from most craft stores. Simply tape the wrap under the bottom of the "basket" and shrink it with your hair blower. It looks so professional. For the younger folks, fill the container with microwave popcorn packs, paper plates, blank cd's, drink boxes, small packages of peanuts, note pads, a roll of nickles, etc. Disposable cameras and small photo albums are nice to include in any of the baskets. The dollar store is a great place for this type of thing. Make sure you place paper in the bottom of your containers, it has a better look if everything is sitting up. For adult couples, I take a basket or small metal bucket and place a bottle of wine or sparkling wine in the center. On each side I place two nice wine glasses. Add some packaged cheese spreads, crackers, summer sausage, sprinkle with hard candies (pretty ones like Werthers or strawberry). Don't forget the small paper plates and matching napkins. When I give this gift at Christmas, I tell them it's their New Years Eve Celebration in a bucket. When making a lot of these things, you can buy items in bulk and create a lot of gifts for a very little price.
