Gift Cards on Ebay- should I trust them?

Q. It seems like a good idea because you can buy a lot of stuff without spending a lot of money- for instance i found $340 in gap gift cards with no bids for 99 cents but is it possible that the seller aready used the cards and is lying? Has anyone ever bought gift cards on ebay or had that happen to them?

Answer
They are not necessarily bad, but you have to be careful. Here are a few tips to protect yourself.

1. If it is too good to be true, it probably is. If someone is loosing a lot of money to sell you a gift card, you should question the source of the card.

2. Only pay through paypal since that gives you an extra layer of protection and people with stolen cards are usually unwilling to go through paypal's verification process.

3. Check the seller's eBay feedback. What are others saying about doing business with this person? Avoid people with little or no feedback. Also avoid people with no recent feedback.

4. Ask questions. Make sure they list every relevant info about the gift card, including any fees or expiration date, original value of the card and current value on the card. You want to make sure you are not buying an expired card. If they are unwilling to give you this info, WALK AWAY!

Visa Gift Cards on eBay?

Anum Akhte

I paid for a phone case on eBay using a Visa Gift card. The buyer has no problem letting me return it to him/her, but I don't know how I'm going to get my money back since I paid with a Visa Gift Card. And I'd rather not have a PayPal account because I've been advised not to get one. Help???

Answer
thats odd because ebay/Paypal DO NOT ACCEPT visa gift cards
plus you wronly advise not to get one because ALL REFUNDS ONLY GO TO paypsl
guess you wont be seeing your refund no paypal account means refunds cant be process
