5th Anniversary Gift?

Billy

I am broke(have 3 kids) haha. Wondering what all the women out there would want from their man?

Answer
The traditional 5th year wedding anniversary gift is giving a gift comprised of wood.

This can be a wooden photo frame with a picture of the two of you or include the kids in it that is blown up from your personal home computer and put inside the frame. (dollar stores sell large frames for cheap). Attach a little love note on the back of frame written on paper and include date of marriage and names.

You can also make a wooden box to store jewelry items in or buy a wooden box and add your wedding date and names on it. (craft store or walmart will have this).

If you are handy with tools like a rotozip, dremel, or jigsaw....cut a heart shape out of a piece of wood like plywood and take a permanent magic marker and add your names on it, or just write I LOVE YOU on it!

ONE LAST TIP...Right now you can go to Limoges.com and get wedding anniversary jewelry. You can get your wife a ring that has both your birthstones and get a free engraving of your wedding date inscribed and put the words forever on it or whatever you choose.

These rings are sterling silver or can be bought in 10kt. yellow or white gold and if you use the code SHAREMORE at checkout you will get 25% off plus an extra 5% off expires July 30th midnight. The ring will only cost you less $39.99 They also sell mother's rings or all inclusive rings that you can include your birthstone, your wife's, and all your kids birthstones. You can design it any way you want.

My husband and I had a mothers ring created formy mother that included her birthstone, all her children, and grandchildren with all our names on it. She loved it, and was very touched. This is why they sent me this coupon. Use it if you want to!

Hope this helps!

Happy Anniversary!

5th Anniversary gifts?

hmmmm

I saw once there was list of what you're suppose to give as gifts for each anniversary (paper, crystal, gold, emeralds, etc).
Does anyone know what the gift is for the 5th anniversary?

Answer
Wood is the traditional gift. If you are good with woodworking, you can make something. Otherwise, furniture and things like that would be great.

Silverware is the modern gift, but I'm not sure exactly how exciting that one is. Since this is your 5th anniversary, I'd guess that you received plenty as wedding gifts anyway.

If you want to get jewelry, sapphires or turquoise are the recommended gifts. Getting these depends on your budget, but I think turquiose is the much cheaper option of the two.

As for flowers, you are supposed to buy daisies for the 5th anniversary. Those probably won't be too hard to find.

Hope this helps. I found the list and these ideas, plus more here: www.happiestanniversaries.com . They seem to have a pretty good collection of ideas.
