Q. I need urgent answers. I am invited to go for a 65 years wedding anniversary of an old couple. they are my mom's friend and I am going on behalf of my parents. It is also both of the couple's birthday too. The couple's family are going to be there. Many children and grandchildren. We are going to a banquet.

If you have the money, get them some blue saphires. Other than that get them something blue and explain why the color is significant to them. Maybe some blue glass like a vase or a window ornament, blue glass ware or another category like blue cushions or blue chairs. Or maybe you could get them each a blue shirt or sweater.

If you don't like any of those ideas just get them a gift certificate to an all you can eat buffet or their favorite restaurant.

What's a good bon voyage gift for a 65-year-old man who's headed to Guatemala? He's planning to open a school for people with autism. We're giving him money for his project but we'd like a personal gift as well, something that would be useful. He'll be living in both places.

He's retiring after 30 years as a live-in caretaker to 7 men with autism. No souvenirs! He has a suitcase full of dvd movies and slideshows of his guys. They are all artists and builders.

Traveling to Korea soon and would like to take some gifts to a few Korean families that we will be staying with in the Seoul area. I am looking for gift ideas in the price range from $0 to $70 dollars.

We will also stay in a few hotels. Do you tip the maids in Korea?

You will love Korea. I spent about 3 years there. Now, I know this sounds weird or funky but a bottle of Johnny Walker or Crown - any semi-premium liquor. Koreans enjoy a drink or two from time to time but a pint of Jack over there is like 65 dollars. You can purchase it in the duty free shop before you board or even on the plane. Since you are not a Korean national you can bring like 2 or 3 bottles.

Tips are considered rude in Korea, but if you are near an American installation or base the Korean nationals will expect it from you.

Stay away from large groups in Yellow Shirts (they are demonstraters.)

And on everyday that ends in a 3 or 8 like the 8th,23rd and so on - they have markets through-out the streets - the shopping is amazing.


I don't think the other person knows - when were they last there? Cuz they would have seen Korean Air selling bottles in flight.

Go to any Oriental food store & ask about shipping boxes. This time of year it should only take about 4 weeks to reach The Philippines. I send a box that measures 20X20X20 for $65. No weight limit.

If you're trying to get a refund on an Amazon Gift Card, you're out of luck. Amazon is usually very lenient on returns, but not on digital items such as gift cards. Their support and customer service is generally very helpful, so you should still call them to see if they can refund it. Yahoo Answers is not the place to ask, you should ask Amazon directly.

Can you buy a Gamestop gift card at custom price in store?

Yeah, all the GameStop's have gift cards with "fexible prices".
You pick out the card, and put whatever you want on it.
For example, you want to put 65 on it, you pick the card, say you want to put 65$ on the card, and your total cost is flat out 65$. No tax, no nothing.
