You guys have any good gag gift ideas for my father? Heâs turning 65 in a few days and me and my husband are going to buy him a bunch of silly useless things, like my husband picked up fishing line when he doesnât fish, we bought him a container of sardines, you know something silly so he looks at it and goes what am I going to do with this? We are going to try to hit up the dollar store soonâ¦any suggestions? He knows we donât have a lot of money and the idea is itâs the thought that counts. Its all in good fun! Thanks

instead of a birthday card, get him a 'happy retirement!' card =] and maybe you could get him some loungerie (sp?) or like a mesh thong haha. or something that would embarrass him like foot fungus cream or like a fake coupon for viagra or preparationH. be creative and i hope you come up with some good ideas! also, you could try a fake lottery ticket. maybe not, those are mean.....

My aunt is having a formal dinner party (think wedding reception at a big, fancy hall) to celebrate her 65th birthday. What kind of gift is expected at this? It's not like there's anything she needs (she already has everything) and I usually only give her a card, but she's shelling out big bucks for this party so it seems rude to show up empty-handed. What is appropriate in this situation?

Does she have a favorite picture from her past? If so I would have it framed for her. I also like the idea of the gift card to her favorite restaurant.

I'm thinking about folding paper boxes in different sizes and putting them all together so when he opens one another will appear and it keeps going until he gets to the last one which will have a message in it. Then I will give him a whole bunch of his favorite candy. But I think this idea is kinda boring. I wanna do something more for him so he wont ever forget it! :] No he's not my boyfriend. Im 19 now, at age 13 i wanted computers and technology. times have changed since then and kids want these things younger and younger. If i was 15 and got candy, id be pretty dissapointed. Get him a new xbox game. But as a gamer, ask him what one he wants, id be disappointed if i got a crappy game, or one i already have. Or get him a gamestop gift card for around 65 bucks, because xbox games run for 60 dollars plus tax.

We have been taking our daughter to this babysitter, full time, for about a year and a half. We absolutely ADORE this woman, who is about 65 years old and is originally from Germany. I'm trying to think of something a little more personal than money. She also sits for a few other children, so I didn't want to limit myself to something that was "all about" my daughter.
