My wife is away and we will not be at the same place for our anniversary. Unfortunately we didn't have much choice. She simply loves flowers so is it OK to send flowers and sweets to her on the day of our anniversary?

I don't know if you are home and have access to this, but if you do, find a picture from your wedding day where your wife is holding her bouquet. Take that picture to a florist and have them make an arrangement for her using the same flowers and colors; have them delivered with a card with the lyrics to the song you danced to. This will bring tears to her eyes and a smile to her face.

What is a good gift to buy my husband for our 9th wedding anniversary?

Maybe some tickets to something...a play, a concert, an exhibition? When I buy tickets as a gift I always make sure I get excellent seats. It's more memorable that way.

OR how about a date to one of those paint your own pottery studios and paint a pair of something...salt and pepper shakers, picture and bowl...

another thought is take a pottery throwing lesson, or give a gift of a class to the couple, if it's not your wife.

My 3rd anniversary is comin up in a few weeks. I am already getting something material (jewelry) that my wife has been asking for, but I need some ideas on getting something more meaningful. We have (2) kids, 9 months & 2 yrs, and I would like to add a little something to make her feel special.

We are already spending a night away, thanks to her mom for watching the kids.

How about a gift cert for a day spa? her favorite clothing store?

You can make your night away a night when your focus is completely on her sexually (bubble bath, her fantacies, massage, well you should know the rest). Your gift (to hint at what to expect) can be oils, gels, etc.

Q. We will be together 9 years in January but married 5 years in February...Just trying to get some ideas.

When we were married five years, we had three young kids and no extra money. His mom sent us $100 as a gift! My mom watched the kids for us, and we took the $100, went to Omaha and checked into a honeymoon suite at a hotel--big bed, whirlpool tub in the room. It was such a nice time! So we went to St Paul on our tenth (my sister and BIL watched our FOUR kids), and to a nearby resort town on our fifteenth (kids back to Mom's). We think we're going to Duluth, MN next year on our twentieth-we spent our honeymoon there. Two kids have left the nest, and Mom has passed away, but I anticipate another lovely time.
