Cool, entertaining x-mas gift or gadgets for mom while in hospital?
Q. My 18 year old sister is diagnosed with cancer receiving treatment, and my mom practically lives at the hospital. I'd like to get her a nice gift...something she can entertain herself in her long days and nights at the hospital...she likes games like connect 4, casino games, scrabble, etc. She's not much into crosswords or soduku or anything like that. Do you have any ideas what I can get mom for x-mas that she'd like? Any links? Thanks for the help!

I would go to Toys R Us and go down the aisle with the handheld electronic games and see what's there that your mom would like.
You can get her BlackJack games, Deal or No Deal, Scrabble, and like the previous posters have mentioned, the gameboy with some games. You'll find tons of other games too in that section. I've seen lots of games that are handheld and electronic and they're not expensive and there's lots of options!
Also, what about some books or a portable DVD player for her to watch some movies?
magazines, her favorite books or even a gift card to a bookstore for her to pick up some that she may enjoy reading.
I am SO sorry about your sister's illness. I hope she gets well soon and that she goes into remission. I also hope you and your family are doing ok through all this and wish you all strength to get through this.
